Our Goals

The short term goals for Angel's Watch Animal Shelter (AWAS) are to raise enough funds to purchase the appropriate amount of land [10-20 acres], and to build the facilities and have enough capital to maintain the daily functions with the project.

I define capital in forms of donated land, buildings, automobiles, etc.—anything that may be either utilized as is (such as donated land, and buildings) or may be turned into a monetary resource towards the project.

The type of facility we are envisioning will have an all green environment which will include, solar power, and a building that consists of recycled building materials wherever possible.

The floor plan for the facility will consist of each stall having half walls made of privacy glass (eight inch bevel glass). The floors of the stalls will have drains for ease of cleaning. The ceiling will be constructed with several skylights to conserve power during daylight hours. We will research a recycling water tank for water conservation. The facility will also have an examination room, a section for rehabilitation and training.

An indoor recreations play area will be included, in addition to administration offices. This facility will have a monitoring system for constant surveillance for the safety of the residents and workers.

The living quarters for horses will have adequate space to house six horses and will include proper stalls made from building materials similar to those that will be used in the main buildings.

The land will be fenced throughout the outer perimeter with certain sections fenced off within the property to be used for exercise, grazing, and training.

The long term goals for AWAS, is to bring about an awareness of the plight of those pets that are being abused on a large scale. We will expand into other states to create facilities similar to our home base. Our goal is to assist wherever there is a need.
