We are prepared to have each adoptee acclimatize to a stable environment by retraining them and offering them a consistent lifestyle.
We are community orientated and we welcome everyone to contribute in whatever way possible. A myriad of projects takes a community to make it a success. Angels Watch is for everyone who wants to become part of our mission.
When this project is operational, it may become a model for all communities in all states to follow… A few of our programs consist of,
* The community outreach, will allow, physically disabled or challenged individuals to work along with us learn how to do certain jobs or duties. This will enable each participant to become more acclimated in functioning in a work environment. Each candidate will learn to do basic office duties, assist in maintaining the animals, and learn what is required to uphold a regular job and its responsibilities.
* Physical therapist: We would like to create a program especially for our disabled veterans, or anyone who is in need of physical therapy. If we can collaborate with their existing therapist, to have them use our facility to assist via using our horses, or canines for exercise, balance, or whatever may help in the healing process.
* Visitor Program: We will go into senior centers to introduce a visiting companion program with the pets. This program will allow our friends to visit any one in need of a friend or visitor.
* Fitness for You & Our Friends: This program we are excited to implement for those of us who jog or take long walks. We want to encourage the community to take one of our residents along for the fun. This will help keep them fit and aid in keeping the participant safe. Having a canine with them while on the trail or path, can be a deterrent for criminal activity. In addition, each participant gets to bond with a friend in need of a friend….
* Spay & Neuter Program: We will encourage any veterinarian to volunteer time to help in this program.
* Veterinarian Schools Volunteering: We will coordinate with these institutions to come, volunteer, and if possible hold some classroom time here for practical hands on experience.
* Angels Watch will implement a program that will allow for minors who need a chance to adjust their lifestyle. If they are facing negative peer pressure, or if they are in jeopardy of entering the criminal justice systems, we can intervene by having them spend quality time here and focus on something positive. This may be what is necessary to help them make better choices for their future.
As you can see, we are going to be proactive with our residents until they find a permanent home. If there is no home for a particular pet, well, they will always have a welcoming and secure home with us.
Angels Watch Animal Shelter encourages everyone to donate whatever he or she can to allow us to bring this project to fruition. We are in need of funding, land, building materials, contractors, supplies, food and any expertise you may have that will make this program a reality, and a welcomed and needed addition to any community.
